The highly anticipated rematch between Ryan Sanders and Luis Felix is set to headline the ‘CES MMA 36’ on June 10.
In their last fight six months ago, Sanders forced Felix to tap out by inflicting a severe knee injury in the second round.
The rematch will take place at the CES event at Twin River Casino and is due to be shown live on AXS TV fights.
Felix, whose record now stands at 14-9 with 5 wins by knock out, is still the current CES MMA Lightweight Champion as he didn’t defend his title against Sanders in their last match up
This was due to the fact that Sanders was a last minute stand in for Waylon Lowe who sustained an injury in his training camp.
In this month’s bout, both men will be fighting at the official 155 pound lightweight limit, with the title on the line as Felix defends his title officially for the first time since defeating former champion Julian Lane last year.
The card on June 10 will also play host to four other televised fights, with six preliminary bouts also featuring, as well as the return of Matt Bessette.
The three time CES MMA veteran and nine time Bellator, whose record stands at 18-7, 5 Kos) will face Jairo Soares (17-10, 2KOs), a fighter from Brazil, in a featherweight contest.
After suffering a knock out defeat to Lenny Wheeler at ‘CES MMA 30’, Bessette has bounced back by beating all of his next three opponents inside two rounds.
Most recently, at ‘CES MMA 33’ in March, when he forced Taurean Bogguess into submission in the first round.
The Twin River card will also feature Nate Andrews (8-1, 5KOs) who is bidding to back up his career high win at ‘CES MMA 33’ when he takes on Luis Muro (4-1, 1KO).
