Cyborg, Tate and Holmes in Underground Streetfight!

Alright, so the headline is pure clickbait, but Cris Cyborg, Meisha Tate and Holly Holmes are lined up to follow Gina Carano and Ronda Rousey into the world of action movies.

Fight Valley: Knockaround Girls is a low budget fight flick that sees the MMA stars add some authenticity to proceedings, alongside a cast of relative unknowns in a movie that homages Kickboxer, but with Cris Cyborg as Tong Po and Meisha Tate as Xian Chow. Fight Valley is set in a murky underground fight world, lorded over by Church [Cris Cyborg], the Queen of the circuit – a fearsome fighter who is responsible for the death of one of her opponents.

Holly Holmes plays the role of the local champ in a more legitimate promotion, who faces Meisha Tate's character and teaches her a lesson in fighting under a rule set as opposed to on the street…

The plot summation on the website goes thusly: "When Tory Coro turns up dead, the neighborhood turns up silent. Rumor has it she became yet another victim of the streets of FIGHT VALLEY. Tory’s sister Windsor moves to town to begin her own investigation on her sister’s mysterious death.

She’s quick to learn that Tory fought for money, just to make ends meet. If girl-next-door Windsor is going to survive her journey in FIGHT VALLEY to find the truth about Tory, she’s going to have to fight.

“Jabs” (Miesha Tate) swore she would never throw a punch in the Valley again. Jabs now finds herself training Windsor to survive the painful, unexpected path she’s about to take. Every corner. Every alley. Every doorway. She must follow the last footsteps of her sister in order to come face-to-face with Tory’s killer in FIGHT VALLEY."

Although the plot sounds fairly generic, the films producers have stated that one of the reasons they hired professional MMA fighters was to enable them to choreograph realistic fight scenes.

The movie's website intimates that there are still options to available to sponsor the filming, but Cris Cyborg posted today that she was working on promotion for the movie already, so it may already be complete.
