BAMMA take you inside the training camps of England’s Brett ‘The Spartan’ McDermott and Germany’s Ruben ‘The Viking’ Wolf as they prepare for their headline fight at BAMMA 29 for the world heavyweight title.
BAMMA 29 returns to Birmingham’s Genting Arena with the prelims being broacast via Unilad’s Facebook page and the main fights showing on Dave’s new MMA show in the UK. The event ties in with the BodyPower expo, which runs on the same weekend.
The event’s headline fight will see Brett ‘The Spartan’ McDermott [7 – 5] face Ruben ‘The Viking’ Wolf [11-9] for the BAMMA World Heavyweight title and glory in a fight that has been pitched as a battle between England and Germany.
Brett has been described by both former Bellator Light Heavyweight Champion Liam McGeary and ‘King Mo’ Mohammed Lawal as ‘The hardest I’ve ever been hit’. The former international rugby player turned MMA fighter will defend a nation’s honour as he faces off against Ruben Wolf. (Twitter @BebeMcDermott)
Gym 23’s Ruben Wolf will be representing Germany in this clash of the big men at the top of card as the Heavyweight based out of Austria looks to spoil the party. The heavy hitting German handed James ‘The Juggernaut’ Mulheron’s only loss to date via TKO and has fought all over Europe bringing a wealth of experience to his battle against McDermott.
