Elon Musk, Social media giant Twitter’s new “Chief Tweet” has responded to LeBron James’ concerns about a sudden increase in racial slurs being posted on the social media site.
Musk, who recently Acquired Twitter On the $44 billion deal, Yoel Roth, the company’s head of safety and integrity, responded to James on Sunday, retweeting an increase in defamation and defamatory language posted on the site.
Roth wrote that the increase in the past 48 hours came from a “small number” of accounts posting “a ton of tweets.”
“Over 50,000 tweets from just 300 accounts repeatedly using a specific slur,” Roth tweeted.

“All of these accounts are unreliable,” Roth continued. “We’ve taken steps to ban users involved in this trolling campaign — and will continue to work to resolve this in the coming days to keep Twitter safe and welcoming for everyone.”
