The next-gen version of The Witcher 3, a “visually and technologically enhanced” update that includes bonus DLC based on The Witcher Netflix series, was originally expected to be released last year before being delayed twice.
Third-party studio Saber Interactive was originally developing a new version, but CD Projekt RED pulled itself out in April 2022, although the game continued to be said to be “not in development hell”.
The Q4 date has been pushed back to May, but many are still concerned given the previous two delays, not to mention the end of the coming year, but CD Projekt Red will hit its target.
In our 9/10 review of the original release, IGN said: “Large in scale, and meticulously detailed, The Witcher 3 ends Geralt’s story on a high note, and it also won our Game of the Year.
