At least 15 people were killed in Gaziantep province and 20 in Martin province in separate incidents.
In southeastern Turkey, at least 35 people have been killed after vehicles crashed into people involved in earlier accidents.
Saturday’s accidents happened 250 km (155 miles) apart in southern Turkey.
The first happened on the highway between Gaziantep and Nisib when a passenger bus collided with emergency crews responding to an accident in southeastern Martin province west of Derrick.
The 15 people killed on the highway between Gaziantep and Nisib included three firefighters, two paramedics and two journalists, Interior Minister Suleiman Soylu wrote in a tweet. The other eight deaths were on the bus, he said.
Twenty others were injured and receiving treatment, regional governor Daud Gul said on Saturday.
“Around 10:45 this morning, a passenger bus crashed here,” Gul said, speaking from the scene of the crash on the road east of Gaziantep.
“While fire brigade, medical teams and other colleagues were responding to the accident, another bus crashed 200 meters away. [219 yards] behind. A second bus drove to the location and hit the first responders and injured people on the ground.
Turkish news agency Ilhas said two of its journalists were killed trying to help victims of the initial crash, in which a car veered off the highway and slid down an embankment.
Television footage showed the back of the ambulance with heavy damage, while the bus lay on its side on the highway.
Separately, a truck crashed into a site in Martin’s Derrick District, where first responders attended another crash.
Speaking from the site, Soylu said 20 people were killed and 26 injured. Among the victims, a police officer and two drivers have been arrested while investigations have begun, he said.
Turkey’s official Anadolu Agency reported that an accident involving three vehicles had occurred at the same location a short time earlier, and that the truck drove into the crowd while emergency responders were already on the scene.
Turkey has a poor record on road safety. According to the government, 5,362 people died in road accidents last year.
